A micro-hyro is a type of hydro-electric central which presents an installed power lower than 150 kW. These small installations may supply power to an isolated home, a small comunity or may be directly connected to the public electric grid.
Normally, to implant a micro-hydro is important to reuse housings / constructions that already exist and most important is using an hydraulic circuit that is already installed in the terrain and is also being used for an existing purpose.
These installations have the advantage of producing “green” power, that is, don´t send CO2 emissions to the atmosphere, being like this environmental friendly. Meaning, we´ll be producing power that comes from a sustainable source.
